Warren Sapp was born on 19 th December 1972 in Orlando , Florida . He is 6-2 and weighs 300 pounds. He is a pro football player for the NFL's Oakland Raiders and holds 10 years of NFL experience. He plays as a defensive tackle for the Raiders. Sapp is an intense player who possesses the flair of playing the game swiftly. He is a swift and powerful blocker with the capability to throw multiple defenders out of the action with ease. He attended the University of Miami and played college football there. He started his career with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sapp was drafted by the Buccaneers in the first round (12 th overall) of the 1995 NFL draft. He was promptly given the starting job as right defensive tackle. He ended his rookie season with 27 tackles and 1 INT.

Sapp proved to be a productive tackler for the Buccaneers and was a serious threat for the opponents. He added 51 tackles and 9 sacks in 1996 and 58 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 1997 . In the year 2002, he led the preeminent team to victory in Super Bowl XXXVII over the Oakland Raiders. He recorded total of 5 tackles and 2 sacks through the 2002 postseason. In 2004, Sapp decided to play for some other team. He initially showed interest in accepting a contract offer from the Cincinnati Bengals for four years. The deal was worth US $ 16 million. But in March 2004, he signed a 7-year, $36.6 million contract with the Raiders.
